How Surgical Oral Boards Are Scored

Some boards publish performance domains, candidate guides, sample material, or general scoring language. Others do not disclose the proprietary detail needed to reproduce a score. The relevant board’s current public and candidate-portal materials control.

Public sources can support statements about named domains, exam structure, or the existence of examiner ratings when the board publishes them. They cannot support an invented universal cut score, hidden examiner formula, or conversion from a practice score to certification.
