What is included in the free 7-day Readiness Pass?+
The Readiness Pass includes one complete live specialty simulation with premium feedback, one Board Answer Lab drill, one Diagnostic Reasoning drill, one Complication Rescue scenario, one premium learning resource, a personalized readiness snapshot, and a synthetic Case Defense demonstration where applicable. It costs $0, requires no credit card, and the seven-day clock starts only when the included live case is used.
Is SurgiTest only a mock oral-board simulator?+
No. Full mock simulations are the proving ground, but SurgiTest also includes Board Answer Lab, Diagnostic Reasoning, Operation Studio, Complication Rescue, Critical Error Vault, Board Library, Guidelines, Reading Guides, Daily Briefs, flash cards, readiness analytics, and personal-case preparation where selected.
What is included in the complete SurgiTest preparation system?+
The connected system includes full spoken mock examinations, Board Answer Lab, Diagnostic Reasoning, Operation Studio, Complication Rescue, Critical Error Vault, Board Library, Guidelines, Reading Guides, structured educational feedback, targeted reassessment, longitudinal readiness, and personal case defense where applicable.
Does SurgiTest provide an official board score?+
No. SurgiTest provides independent educational feedback and readiness tracking. It does not calculate an official board score, predict certification, or guarantee a result.
Do I still need to review my certifying board’s official materials?+
Yes. Current official board materials remain the source of truth for eligibility, examination format, dates, policies, and certification requirements. SurgiTest is an independent preparation platform.
Can I use SurgiTest on demand?+
Yes. Routine practice is available on demand within the access included in your pass or package, without requiring a scheduled faculty session for each repetition.
How does SurgiTest decide what I should practice next?+
The platform uses evidence from the response and completed activity to identify observable gaps and recommend a relevant drill, resource, rehearsal, or reassessment. Recommendations are educational, can contain uncertainty, and may be challenged through Help & Feedback.
What is the difference between the Specialty and Case Defense packages?+
The $499 Specialty Package provides the complete specialty curriculum for 12 months. The $999 Case Defense Package includes everything in Specialty plus fully de-identified personal document and media uploads, case-specific simulations, likely examiner targets, documentation-gap detection, and personal portfolio analytics. Case Defense is especially valuable in specialties that use submitted case lists, but every specialty may purchase it.
Can I upload my own cases?+
Yes, with the Case Defense Package. Personal material must be fully de-identified and must never contain protected health information. The workflow is designed for private educational rehearsal, secure retention and deletion controls, and specialty-appropriate case defense.
What is Diagnostic Reasoning?+
Diagnostic Reasoning is a focused drill for framing the syndrome, prioritizing the differential, identifying dangerous alternatives, selecting distinguishing findings and efficient workup, updating as new data appears, and committing to a diagnosis and plan.
How do Operation Studio and Complication Rescue differ?+
Operation Studio rehearses an operation as an organized sequence of decisions, technical steps, endpoints, and contingencies. Complication Rescue isolates a high-risk deterioration so you can memorize and communicate the immediate recognition, stabilization, localization, and definitive rescue sequence.
What does the iOS app add?+
The native iOS companion lets existing members continue daily preparation, live voice cases, feedback review, and progress tracking from the phone while sharing the same server-authorized account and learning record as the web experience.
Does SurgiTest reproduce official board questions or predict whether I will pass?+
No. SurgiTest is an independent educational platform. It uses original practice material, does not reproduce secure examination content, is not affiliated with or endorsed by specialty boards, and does not claim to provide an official score or certification prediction.
